Deep Work by Cal Newport
An essential read, especially if you want to thrive in today’s world of distractions. A lot of people ask me how I get so much done, and it’s thanks to Deep Work.

Here are some of my favorite productivity tools to complement your new knowledge:

  • I use Trello to track my commission work. It’s very powerful for keeping references, payment status, and commission details all in one place. Also, check out my guide to using Trello for NSFW freelance artists!
  • Time tracking is important for knowing where your hours go, so you can improve your processes. I use Toggl.
  • I’ve lost my files before, so now I use Google Drive Desktop, which lets me save files to my system while backing it up to the cloud.
  • Checking social media can be distracting, so I queue my Twitter posts through Buffer.
