Still unsure? Here’s what you get from the book ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŽจ

See how warmups up your art

Does an hour of drawing in the morning really help anything? After filling more than 60 pages, it’s a clear yes. And the benefits go beyond just improving your art skills.

1) Beat art block

As you get used to doing warmups, you’ll slip into flow more often. You’ll get so involved in the act of drawing, your worries fade away.

With less pressure to make good art, your ideas start to come more easily. Additionally, the sheer number of sketches mean you’ll never run out of future material to draw upon for inspiration.

2) Inspire character designs and stories

Being able to draw so much and so quickly allows you to drop your OCs into different situations. What kinks are they into? How do they react when asked for bdsm play? What alternate outfits would they shine in?

I developed 3-4 OCs throughout the 4 months of Red Pencil. The best part was that they developed naturally, inspired by the references and feedback I was getting each day.

3) Improve your future artworks

Don’t be deceived like me; I thought an hour of drawing would barely make an impact. But if you think about it, an hour everyday for a week is 7 hours. So, 4 months would be 121 hours.

See how quickly it stacks up? I was actually shocked when I found out, because I couldn’t figure out the calculation for a while ๐Ÿ˜›

Whether you’re a busy student or full-time worker, warmups are quick and sweet, and will definitely help you become a better artist.
